Saturday I was given a tour by Davide Monteleone of his exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. Its always fascinating to here the ideas behind the photographs and the techniques used to get them. One thing he said was that all his photographs were printed from film in order to get better detail in the large prints he wanted.
Whilst some of his shots were taken with a 4” X 5” film camera and I understand why this would work, others were taken on a digital camera and then converted to film negative before printing, This I find difficult to comprehend.
Still, a great afternoon. Thanks to the Spectator for the invite and The RPS DVJ for organising.
The Lightroom for Landscape workshop on 25th March is now fully booked. should you wish to go on the waiting list please e-mail me.
